I have a box full of old works found in my attic last year. The box is labelled “works to photograph and give away”.
I gave this one away last week.
It’s covered with the pages of The importance of being Earnest by Oscar Wilde. It’s a thing i no longer do because the aged pages crack so easily, but i still do love the yellowed colour and the texture.
On this piece i also collaged with a heap of stamps, and one word, Some, which is from a learn to read set from my mother’s kindergarten teaching days (it had a name like “Sentence Maker”).
I have given it away now. It was made around 2008 or thereabouts.
