This week i stole a few hours here and there to make some collages.
They are all a little surreal, and very much influenced by the “lucky dip” of me just putting my hand into a stack of pages I’ve saved from Donna Hay magazines, national geographics, a book on Humphrey Bogart, text books the world book encyclopedia, and even old sheet music.
This set has been strongly influenced by penguins.
The joy of this is that it moves fast, requires no set up (just sit down and pull two pieces of paper from the pile).
the unfinished collage on my studio desk right now involves a cabbage leaf and a face, so maybe a set of bizarre portraits come next?
