The Shanty Club is not a membership organisation.
The reasons why are many and varied, ranging from because we never got around to it to we’re all secret anarchists.
There are no membership fees (buy a drink, wear stripes).
There is no membership list (you’re on the list if you turn up. If you’re wearing stripes you’re definitely on the list).
If you come regularly you start to see the unstated hierarchies and possibilities, but we cannot name them here.
Know this. We want you to come sing.
We welcome you back when we start to recognise you.
If you have any questions for us about how things work, we’re more than happy to wax lyrical.
And here’s the best kept secret. You’re already a member.
Fair winds and following seas!
