When I went to Italy for the first time in 2003 (ish?) I sat on the plane reading the guide book and not being excited really at all. It seemed something I should be interested in.
Then when i arrived the colours of Tuscany were just lovely, and especially the towns (you know, i do so love roofs!).
These are some collage and acrylic works I did to try and capture that. I suspect the painted ones at least are from photos I took from the towers at San Gimignano. These were done in 2004. The images are all A4 size.
