Maroon concertina

This book was made from an old acrylic work. I then decorated the back of the work with oil pastel, dress pattern tissue and acrylic washes. The challenge I always have is that often I prefer the back after I’ve decorated it. So having this be a concertina gets over that problem!

I have been testing out colouring the edges – here I’ve used a pink oil pastel.

I used letraset sticker letters to put the W.B. Yeats poem The Cloths of Heaven. Also cut some windows in and added some beads
