On Making Tea

Cindy Tonkin - August 1, 2020

On making tea, the poem, was on my fridge for a long while when I lived in St Peters in 2014 – 16. It’s by R.L. Wilson. I found it in a school anthology.

I’m so glad I found the perfect “image” in these offcuts from nicola – the pages literally look like bubbles in water. Apparently the plate she uses to make these monoprints with the offcuts are made using caustic soda to wear it away, so the bubbles are there.

I didn’t want any complexity in the binding (I am not great at binding anyway), so this is just 3 stitches. I didn’t think to put them through the cricut to make the holes beautiful (maybe one day?). To get the text
