My first exhibition, in 2003, was called Patchwork and Stories.
Here’s what the Herald said about it (sight unseen, since they were promoting it before it opened).
Here are some pictures from it. The photography is relatively low res (it was my first digital camera, which ploughed through batteries like a fiend!).
The works were mostly collage (with a little paint or ink occasionally). Some of the pieces stand up to the test of time: I still love my Epistories, the long banners made from National Geographic pix of stones and sand. I sold quite a few, and I wonder how they’ve stood the test of time. I’ve mostly lost touch with the buyers.
